Mangas fascinate children and young people worldwide with their striking figures, lively movements and imaginative stories. In our five-day drawing course for 10 to 14-year-olds, participants discover how an idea can be turned into their own manga character step by step – from the first lines to the expressive figure.

Tablets and drawing programs open up completely new ways to bring ideas to life. In our digital drawing course for 10 to 14-year-olds, participants learn how to create their own figures, scenes and illustrations on the iPad – from the first sketch to the colourful work of art. The course is held in German and is suitable for anyone who wants to try out or deepen their creativity with digital tools.

In our weekly animation course , children discover the fascinating world of moving images – in a playful, creative way and with plenty of room for their own ideas. Whether made of clay, in shadow play or digitally on a tablet: This is where your own small films are created week after week – from the first concept to the premiere on the big screen.

In our Mini Atelier we go on a creative journey of discovery! Week after week, the children immerse themselves in distant countries, colourful animal worlds and exciting cultures. Using paints, paper, scissors and brushes, they design elephants from India, parrots from the rainforest, folding fish from Japan and much more – without a passport, but with a lot of curiosity and joy.

In our creative workshop , children from the age of 8 discover the exciting world of design with new and classic techniques! Whether with 3D pens into the third dimension, needle and thread for embroidery, printing on textiles or seasonal decoration projects – the focus here is on the joy of do-it-yourself. Together we try out modern tools and traditional handicraft techniques – always with room for your own ideas and creative experiments.

In this creative course, we will discover the colourful world of art together – child-friendly, playful and full of imagination! This weekly course offers an exciting introduction to the world of digital drawing – and just as much room for further development for children and young people who have already gained their first experience with Procreate.

Together we explore the versatile possibilities of the iPad app Procreate – from simple drawing tools to creative special functions such as animation, brush design or typography. Each week, the focus is on a new topic, in which design basics and digital technology are playfully combined.

The summer holidays are just around the corner – and with them a diverse creative programme at Urban Art Kids! In our holiday camps, children between the ages of 8 and 12 discover their creative talents and try out different techniques: In the animated film camp, imaginative stop-motion films are made from paper and modelling clay, in the summer camp they print, paint, play and explore the city. For older children, there are intensive courses on manga and digital drawing, while the Art.Tech.Girls Camp is especially popular with girls who like to tinker creatively, program or create animated films.

In the two-day animated film camp, children aged 8 to 12 can turn their own ideas into imaginative stop-motion films – with self-designed figures and backdrops made of paper and modelling clay. The Summer Camp 2025 at Urban Art Kids takes place in July and September and offers children between the ages of 8 and 12 a special opportunity to unleash their creativity. In our varied day camps, participants can expect exciting workshops on printing, drawing, painting and other creative projects. The programme is complemented by inspiring excursions to parks and museums. Even without an overnight stay, we create an enriching atmosphere in which artistic skills are playfully promoted. In the five-day manga drawing course , children and young people between the ages of 10 and 14 immerse themselves in the world of Japanese comic art. Step by step, they learn to develop their own manga characters – from facial expressions and postures to hairstyles, outfits and accessories.
