In our holiday camps, children between the ages of 8 and 12 discover their creative talents and try out different techniques: In the animated film camp, imaginative stop-motion films are made from paper and modelling clay, in the summer camp they print, paint, play and explore the city. For older children, there are intensive courses on manga and digital drawing, while the Art.Tech.Girls Camp is especially popular with girls who like to tinker creatively, program or create animated films.

In the two-day animated film camp, children aged 8 to 12 can turn their own ideas into imaginative stop-motion films – with self-designed figures and backdrops made of paper and modelling clay. Accompanied by experienced artists, they learn the basics of animation technology and proudly take their own little film home with them at the end – a creative holiday season full of imagination, craftsmanship and fun.

The Summer Camp 2025 at Urban Art Kids takes place in July and September and offers children between the ages of 8 and 12 a special opportunity to unleash their creativity. In our varied day camps, participants can expect exciting workshops on printing, drawing, painting and other creative projects. The programme is complemented by inspiring excursions to parks and museums. Even without an overnight stay, we create an enriching atmosphere in which artistic skills are playfully promoted. In the five-day manga drawing course , children and young people between the ages of 10 and 14 immerse themselves in the world of Japanese comic art. Step by step, they learn to develop their own manga characters – from facial expressions and postures to hairstyles, outfits and accessories. With a lot of creativity, guidance and fun, the first own manga panels and unique characters are created.

Unleash your imagination with pen and tablet – in the digital drawing course, children aged 10 to 14 learn how to create their own digital artwork with ProCreate, a popular app among illustrators and artists. Step by step, they explore the functions of the software, create their own illustrations and refine techniques such as sketching, coloring and lighting. Ideal for those who want to develop their creativity digitally!

The Art.Tech.Girls Camp is all about the creative combination of art and technology – especially for girls between the ages of 9 and 12. In an inspiring environment, participants can design their own digital works of art with ProCreate, gain their first programming experience in a playful way and develop stop-motion films together. Whether drawing on a tablet, programming an interactive “pet” with Calliope Mini or shooting an animated film – the focus here is on curiosity, creativity and joint experimentation. A special holiday experience for all those who like to design and discover technology.
