What is Risograph?
The Risograph is an environmentally friendly Japanese original printing machine. Mostly it is a hard-working A4 sw printer in schools, delivering small runs without ozone pollution, toner poison and standby waste! The Riso prints with paint based on soy and rice bran oil, the Printmaster are made of hemp or banana leaf fibres and even the rattling plastic cartridges are too bad to slip away!
In Europe, despite its many advantages, the Riso is quite unknown, although its unique original colours are so inspiring! It is most likely to be compared to screen printing. However, the Riso is much faster and does not require any bad chemistry. Awarded with the Energy-Star, the risography is probably the most ecological copying technique.
