What do we do in the workshop?

The workshop tries to stimulate children through creative keys in a wide range with the basis of language. This consists in learning to tell visual things and becoming aware of the creativity we all have. We also want to incorporate philosophical or social concepts into the creative work. These are some of the paths we will explore in the course. An integral part of each workshop will be a selection of music in Spanish specially prepared for the occasion. The idea is to select songs with rhythms, melodies and sounds that entertain children and invite them to sing and dance.

How does the online workshop work?

  • Before the course, we will send you a list of all the materials you need for the course in good time.
  • For special topics, we prepare small material boxes or envelopes for pick-up in the store.
  • You will also receive an online access link.
  • Please create enough space in front of the computer to work creatively.
  • The courses are held LIVE with our artists in small groups.
  • We kindly ask you to be part of the course and to help the children. This, of course, depends on the individual independence of your children.

Which artist does the workshop?

Julia Iglesias is from Argentina and is a graphic designer, illustrator, painter and city nomad. She moved from Southern Patagonia to Buenos Aires and then to Berlin. Over the past 20 years, she has spent her time in these cities as a constant newcomer to observe and draw the places, spaces and figures with the mixture of urban life. At the heart of her work is the design process, everything that happens between the original idea until it becomes concrete. Such as influences and research, methods and systems, sketches and experiments, tools and materials. Her illustrations are characterized by simple organic shapes, bright colors and a sense of simplicity.
