Exhibition Ciao Coyote

from 8 February to 30 May 2020

Until the end of May we show the beautiful watercolor posters by Ciao Coyote. The colourful artworks were inspired by ancient figurative cave painters from the Lascaux and Chauvet caves. Whether penguins at the South Pole, yelling wolves in the forest or zebras in the savannah for every small and large animal fan, there is something there. The posters can also be combined wonderfully.

What is Ciao Coyote?

The label Ciao Coyote was founded in Berlin in 2017 by the renowned artist and painter Alisa Margolis. The concept for the label began when Alisa was pregnant. By this time, she was already trying to tell her child stories about the world. As a painter, her language is visual. This aroused an interest in the universal practice of visual storytelling in Alisa. This began with the ancient figurative cave painters of Lascaux and Chauvet. In addition, the question arising was how working artists could use the power of art and creative expression. How can we further promote and open the limitlessness of childhood, rather than closing it? How can a meaningful, sustainable dialogue with images be created that is lasting and lifelong?

She makes art prints to promote visual education. She also wants to strengthen the child’s natural curiosity by providing a canvas for the boundless play of fantasy.
