Summer Holidays: Abstract Art with Acrylic

In this creative workshop, aimed specifically at children aged 9 and over, we invite young artists to discover the world of abstract art and experiment with acrylic paints on canvas. The two-day course takes place on two consecutive mornings during the summer holidays. In our art space, we explore the free, playful use of shapes, colors and textures together to create unique abstract works of art.

On the first day of the workshop, we will focus on the basics of abstract art and working with acrylic paints. The children learn about the variety of acrylic paints and how they can be used on the canvas. We practice different techniques to achieve different effects, such as mixing colors, creating textures, and experimenting with different brushstrokes. We create a relaxed, friendly environment in which the children dare to express their ideas and be creative.

On the second day, the children create their own abstract artwork on a canvas. Under guidance and with enough freedom for their own creativity, they implement what they have learned the day before. Our goal is not only to provide children with an exciting, artistic experience, but also to give them confidence and joy in creative expression. At the end of the workshop, the children will not only have learned about abstract art and acrylic paints, but will also have created their own unique artwork to take home with them.

Notes:

• The course is suitable for children from 9 years of age.
• Please bring a small snack for the breaks.
• We provide mineral and tap water.
• Put on clothes that can get dirty, we also provide painting coats.
