Autumn Camp 2022
In the autumn holidays we have put together a creative workshop program for the camp for you:
Monday, October 31, 2022 Urban Art Window + Watercolor with Lu
Urban art is everywhere in Berlin. We redesign our window image of Urban Art Kid using chalk markers and under the guidance of our artist Margarita Kollmann. In the afternoon we will receive an introduction to the watercolor technique and will paint autumnal motifs.
Tuesday, November 1, 2022 Making Animated Films + Urban Sketching
With the simple stop-motion animation technique, children create creative cartoons and tell short stories. A corresponding app turns taken photos into a stop-motion video or a photo film. The app is self-explanatory and easy to use, making it easy for participating children to become filmmakers. At the end of the workshop, we will make the films available to you digitally. In the afternoon we will draw together playfully outside and perceive our environment by means of “urban sketching”.
Wednesday, November 2, 2022 Excursion + Watercolor with Lu
Depending on the weather, we will take a trip to a park or museum (e.g. Futurium).
In the afternoon, the 2nd part of the watercolor course of Lu takes place.
Thursday, November 3, 2022 Printing Workshop + Upcycling Project
At the printing workshop, we will be inspired by the colourful season and print with sheets. We collect sheets and will try out different printing techniques with the material.
Afterwards we will carry out a few upcycling projects in the afternoon. Among other things, we work with TetraPak packaging and will turn it into purses or beautiful tealight houses.
Friday, November 4, 2022 Cookbook + Upcycling Fabric Ball
Cooking recipes are a lot of fun, and we can make them even more entertaining by playing with the presentation of the ingredients and the way they are prepared. Can we invent a recipe that puts us in a good mood? Can we invent a recipe with fantastic ingredients? The idea is to make a small recipe book in which the children can develop their imagination with the help of rubber stamps (foam rubber or soft cut).
From recycled materials such as used garments (T-shirts, trousers) we will produce personalized objects and figures designed by the children. The children will learn how important the reuse of materials, where they come from and why we will use them again. You will learn to sew by hand and how to use a simple sewing machine and how to make simple decorations with it.
Daily routine:
9:30 am – 12:30 pm 1st workshop
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch and game time
13:30 – 15:30 2nd Workshop
Dates: 31 October to 4 November 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Costs: 300 Euro per child incl. Lunch – If you are interested in our autumn camp at short notice, please send us a message to info@urbanartkids.com. We are happy to add you to the waiting list.
Note:
- The Autumn Camp is a day camp (without overnight accommodation)
- Only the whole week can be booked, the booking of individual days is not possible!
- Please bring a water bottle and a small snack for the breaks!!!
- We will publish the final program at the end of September.
- We reserve the right to make changes to the program.
- For lunch we always provide a vegetarian alternative.
